 We are moving closer and closer to the summer Games and the competition is hotting up! April 2012 sees the No Strings Badminton Session of the Month award relocating to the South East with Woodford Park Leisure Centre claiming gold!

Woodford Park Leisure Centre is located in Woodley, a thriving town of approximately 26,000 residents in the county of Berkshire. Woodley Town Council, who own the No Strings Badminton franchise, aim to provide high quality accessible services to the community. It would seem that the No Strings Badminton sessions provided at Woodford Park Leisure Centre are deemed ‘smashing’ by the locals! With an average of just under 23 participants at each session over the last month, this fun, social badminton opportunity is hitting the spot!

 Session coordinator (and local badminton legend!) Gill Smith has been busy promoting the session and encouraging people to get on court and give it a go whatever their previous playing experience. No Strings Badminton sessions at Woodford Park Leisure Centre offer a family friendly playing experience for all ages and abilities with hints and tips from Gill combined with frequently rotated game-play to ensure everyone gets as much court time as desired.

Woodley locals, Radana and Lukas Di Matteo (aged 36 and 8) have been playing No Strings Badminton since January 2012 after receiving a promotional leaflet from Gill. They feel that they get a good workout whilst meeting new people and generally enjoy playing and improving their badminton skills.
